Our History.

Founded in 1952 as a single family home developer, Weinstein Properties now owns and manages over 20,000 apartments in Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia. Today, we are still family owned and recently welcomed the third generation of our family members into the business.

1952

Mr. Weinstein founds Weinstein Properties. From 1952 to 1962, Marcus was primarily focused on developing single family homes in the Richmond, Virginia area.

1962

Weinstein Properties begins development of its first multi-family apartment community. The development is 48 units and is located in Richmond, Virginia.

1970

Development of Kings Crossing begins. Additional phases of Kings Crossing were completed in 1990, 2002, and 2016. Kings Crossing is Weinstein Property’s largest asset with over 700 units.

1970-1990

Weinstein Properties continues to develop and purchase apartment communities throughout Virginia expanding to Charlottesville, Tidewater, Harrisonburg, and Petersburg.

2003

Weinstein Properties acquires its first property in Charlotte, North Carolina. The property, now called Bexley Commons at Rosedale, is still owned and managed by Weinstein Properties.

2004

Weinstein Properties acquires its first property in Raleigh, North Carolina. The property, now called Bexley at Preston, is still owned and managed by Weinstein Properties.

2015

Weinstein Properties acquires its first property in Austin, Texas. The property, now called Bexley at Anderson Mill, is still owned and managed by Weinstein Properties.

2017

Weinstein Properties acquires its first property in Dallas, Texas. The property, now called Bexley Riverwalk, is still owned and managed by Weinstein Properties.

2020

Weinstein Properties enters into a joint venture development in Nashville, Tennessee. At this point, Weinstein Properties is in four states and twelve cities.

2022

Weinstein Properties acquires its first property in Atlanta, Georgia. The property, now called Bexley Powers Ferry, is still owned and managed by Weinstein Properties.
