I started my career with Weinstein Properties shortly after college knowing very little about property management. My intent when I joined was to build my resume as an accountant and then move to a new company after a few years. Now, 19 years later, I am still here. Beginning as a Community Coordinator, to a Leasing Coordinator, to an Assistant Property Accountant Manager, I have witnessed firsthand the opportunities for growth at Weinstein Properties.

Throughout my years with Weinstein, not only have learned tremendously, but I have also come to value the family oriented culture and strong sense of values the company instills. I have tried to incorporate those same values and moral standards in my day to day endeavors. My favorite part of my role are the interactions that I have with my fellow coworkers who have become a second family to me over the course of my 19 year journey with Weinstein.

Maintenance Supervisor - Richmond, VA

When I started with Weinstein Properties, I was a groundsman. I came in with next to no knowledge of maintenance but I was eager to learn. I started to shadow techs as soon as I was able. Within my first year, I got my EPA certification.

I tried to learn everything I could. I took every class I could, including going to Richmond Tech for HVAC courses. I learned so much and have adapted over time.

I have been with Weinstein Properties for seven and a half years and it has been a fun ride all the way. When I started I wasn’t sure where exactly I was headed. I came in looking for a job and found a career, somewhere I could grow as a person. I have found many friends and many people that I would call family.

I actually started my career at Weinstein Properties as a resident. I was so incredibly impressed with the customer service I received, I decided to apply so I could be the one to create such a welcoming environment for someone else.

I’ve been with the company for just about four and a half years. I began as an assistant manager and I am now a property manager.

I love that Weinstein Properties promotes from within and offers opportunities for personal growth. The owners are incredibly invested in the potential of their employees. I have a great working relationship with my director and have a team that puts in the work day in and day out. Just knowing that I have a great support system is reason enough alone for me to love my career at Weinstein Properties.

Assistant Maintenance Supervisor - Hampton, VA

I have worked for Weinstein Properties for over 15 years, and have loved every minute of it. I’m originally from New York, and WP was the first company I found when I moved here that allowed me to truly utilize my skill set. I was hired in as a C+ tech, but was able to learn and grow under some great leaders and have advanced to an Assistant Supervisor over the years. Even after all this time, I still feel as though I’m always learning something new. 

I’m a big people person, and really enjoy helping and getting to know the residents, and this company is all about customer service. I’ve worked with a lot of different people in my time with this company and have had the privilege to call many of them my friends. I’ve always felt that I’ve had the support I needed from my Supervisors and Managers over the years, and enjoy getting to work closely with them. Overall, I really love working here and know that anyone looking to work here will love it too.

Maintenance Supervisor - Austin, TX

In my five years at Weinstein Properties, not only have I been promoted multiple times, but I have also been taught to hold myself and others to a higher standard. When I started, I was a make ready technician and grew to a B tech, then to a B+ tech. From there, I began my training for what would eventually be a supervisor role. I traveled to our properties across the region and learned everything I could. Today, I am the Maintenance Supervisor at Bexley at Wolf Ranch in Georgetown, Texas and I have never been happier.

Weinstein Properties has put a lot into my career with training and classes, and has helped me achieve all of my goals in record time. I have worked for other companies and have never felt the sense of family that I have at Weinstein. To anyone interested in a career with Weinstein, I strongly encourage joining the team. I started with Weinstein Properties in October of 2017. The chance to join Weinstein came at a great time in my life. I had previously worked for another management company for over 23 years and decided to leave for what I thought was a better opportunity.

My decision to leave my old company paid off. I have had a fantastic 6 years at Weinstein Properties so far. I was able to grow into my current position as a maintenance supervisor quickly and have really enjoyed everyone I have had the pleasure of working with.

Weinstein Properties does a great job of growing employees from within the company. There are so many opportunities with Weinstein if you are willing and able to put the work in. I do not see myself leaving Weinstein for any reason in the future. I hope to retire with this company.

I have been working at Weinstein for 8 years. I started as a leasing consultant back in 2015. Initially I applied because of the flexible schedule that allowed me to continue to work towards my graduate degree. While I had no prior experience in property management, the training materials provided gave me the tools I needed to succeed. The structure and dedication Weinstein Properties has in developing and promoting its employees made what I thought was a temporary job into a long term career.

Throughout my journey, I have always felt supported and celebrated not only for my personal success but also for overall team success.
